- Come open your ears and I’ll rhyme you a riddle.
- It’s a riddle both easy and old.
- About something gone wrong, it’s a helluva a song.
- It might leave you sorry and cold,
- But it’s a story that gotta be told.
- Ole Hey Diddle Diddle, the guy in the riddle,
- He promised the women and men.
- If you don’t mind the wait and you’re willing to hate,
- I’ll make you real great again.
- I’ll make you all feel great again.
- Old Hey Diddle Diddle, his brain is too brittle.
- His house is too white and his hands are too little.
- His temper too short and his tales were too tall.
- And he wants us to build him a wall.
- Well some people cheered when he came to town,
- And the big bosses soon took a bow.
- Now they all stand around with their heads in the ground,
- And wonder what do we do now?
- What the hell do we do now?
- Hey Diddle Diddle, he rants and he rails,
- And he seems more impatient each day,
- He stands up on TV where he likes be,
- And this is all he has to say,
- This is what we heard him say:
- “I’m the best of the best, I’m Hey Diddle Diddle,
- I don’t take no shit, I don’t play second fiddle.
- ‘Cause I’m the smartest by far, and I’m humble no doubt,
- And I am what I’m all about.”
- So an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,
- That’s what the poets all say.
- Now facts are not facts and truth is not truth,
- Well, that’s the price some of us pay.
- It’s a high price that we all have to pay.
- Hey Diddle Diddle, he rip and he roars,
- And he grows more reckless each day.
- He stood up on TV where he wants to be,
- And this is all he had to say,
- This is what we heard him say:
- “I can do what I want. I can say what I please.
- I can bring the whole planet right down to its knees.
- I’m the man of the hour. I don’t always play nice,

- But I think its past time to end a bad rhyme,
